Necessary storage and optional analytics.
TravelNeighbors separates storage required to operate your account from optional first-party analytics.
Necessary storage
Supabase authentication tokens in browser storage keep you signed in and refresh your session. Security and interface values remember items such as photo-safety acknowledgement and presence throttling. These are needed for requested account features and are not disabled by the analytics choice. Blocking them may prevent login or member features.
Optional analytics
If you choose Allow analytics, TravelNeighbors stores random visitor and session identifiers and records first-party page and journey events with referrer, campaign parameters, device class, viewport, and language. This helps measure conversion, retention, and reliability. Optional analytics is off until you choose it. Choosing Necessary only prevents the browser tracker from creating these identifiers or sending these events.
Server operational records
Authentication, messaging, safety, verification, billing, and entitlement actions can create server-side records independently of the browser analytics choice. They are needed to deliver the service, prevent abuse, keep audit trails, and maintain subscription state; they are not advertising cookies.
Change your choice
You can clear the tn_analytics_consent value in your browser's local storage to see the choice again. Clearing all site data also signs you out and removes local preferences. Until a dedicated settings switch is added, support@travelneighbors.com can help with questions.
